Step 1:

To be eligible for participation in the SSS program, the student must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Enrolled or accepted for enrollment at TAMUCC
  • U.S. Citizen or legal resident
  • At least one of the following: low income, first generation, or disabled (Diagnosed)
  • In need of academic support

In need of academic support is indicated by at least one of the following criteria:

  • Enrolled in developmental classes
  • Low high school or college grades
  • Limited career goal or undeclared majors
  • Out of school (the academic pipeline) for five or more years
  • Limited English proficiency
  • Not adequately prepared for college-level writing, math, and science
  • Difficulty in core classes

 

Step 2:

To be eligible for our program (must have an academic need), you must be one or more of the following:

  • First generation (neither one of the parents have a four year baccalaureate degree.)

 

  • Low income

 

  • Diagnosed with a disability (students must be registered with TAMUCC Disability Services)      

 Step 3:

Application process:

  • Please fill out and turn in an application by either downloading one from here or by picking one up from the Student Support Services office located at the TAMUCC Glasscock Student Success Center, room 135B. Make sure it is fully completed and signed. Applications missing signatures will not be processed.
  • Bring a copy of documentation of disability (if disabled).
